Do I have to sign a Long Term Contract?
No. We are so confident in our
products and services that we will never ask you to sign a long term contract or
make any long term commitment. We do require a month to month agreement.
How quickly can we have a
ResponseLINK system installed?
Once we receive an order, we can have it installed within 1-24 hours. We
have installed system within 20 minutes of receiving an order. Once we
deliver the system, it takes about 45 minutes to install it and test it.
I don’t live in the same town as my parents, but I want to buy this service
for them, what do I do?
Simply contact us at (801) 955-4949
and we will help you coordinate the installation for your parents or loved ones.
Programming and installation takes about 45 minutes. Once we get the unit
installed, we will notify you that it has been installed.
Does ResponseLINK provide monitoring 24 hours a day?
We have trained monitoring operators
that staff the center 24 hours a day / 365 days a year.
What if I have an emergency, who do you call?
If it is a medical emergency, of
course we will call the paramedics. If you’ve fallen and just need help getting
up again, we can call any one you want us to. The great thing about
ResponseLINK, we can customize the call list to meet your special needs.
The
important thing is, we will never disconnect from talking to you until help
arrives.
If I have an emergency, how will the paramedics get into my home?
With each system we install, we
provide a secure key storage lock box for an added layer of security. When we
dispatch the Police, Fire Department or Paramedics, we inform them that you have
a key in a lock box. We then inform them where the lock ob is hide and give them
the combination so they can get your spare key out to enter your home. This way,
they don’t have to break a window or a door to help you.
Is the pendant water proof?
Yes, completely water proof. It should
always be worn in the tub or shower because, 45% of all falls happen in the
bathroom.
What if the power goes out, will the system still operate?
Yes. The base panel that we install
operates on your home electricity. It is equipped with a battery back up system.
So, if the power goes out in you home, you can still press your pendant if you
need help. With ResponseLINK, when your power goes out, the system will send a signal
in to our
monitoring center informing them that the your home is experiencing a power
failure. For added safety, we will then call you
on the phone to make sure everything is OK. Once the power returns, there are no
complicated reset buttons to push because ResponseLINK's system will
automatically self reset.
What if someone is visiting my home and they have a medical emergency, can I
press the pendant to get them help?
Yes. Lets say that you wear a pendant
and your spouse does not, if they should have a medical emergency or if they
should fall, press your pendant and we will get them the help they need.
Can I press the emergency pendant if I hear a noise outside my home?
Yes. We want you to be safe. If you
hear something outside and you become worried that someone is trying to get in
you home, press the button and we will get the police over to your home as soon
as we can. Again, we will never disconnect from talking to you until help
arrives.
I have a difficult time remembering to take my medications, can you assist me
in remembering to take my medications?
Yes, our operators will notify you
when it is time to take your medication. We can perform this service as many
time as needed per day. We can remind you to perform health test, do nutritional
reminders, assist in waking up in the morning and even remind you to lock your
doors and windows at night. ResponseLINK also has an automated medication dispenser that will help a loved
one take their medications.
How do we hook this up in my mothers home?
We will come to her home to install
it, range test it and perform voice tests in every room in her home. We will
them take as much time as needed to help her understand how to use the pendant.
Even though, it is very simple to use, we want to make sure that she feels very
comfortable with the pendant and the use of the system. We will never ship the
equipment to you expecting you to set it up. We make sure that everything is
working properly before we leave her home.
What happens if my mother presses the pendant by mistake?
When our operator responds to her over
the system, they will ask if she needs help. If she doesn’t re-quire help, all
she has to say is, I pressed it by accident”. Our operator will again verify
that she is OK, then disconnect the call. She could press it a hundred times a
day and our operators will be just as kind and caring on the one hundredth time
as they were on the first time.
Will this work if I’m at the grocery store?
This is designed to work in and around
your home. If you fall at the grocery store, there will be other people to help
you.
My mother prefers to speak her native tongue in an emergency. Can you speak
her language?
Yes. Our language line can accommodate
almost anyone. Currently we are able to communicate in over 150 different
languages.
